To join a group session: Click the “Sign Up” button to open the group advising Eventbrite page. There, you can click “Select a date” and choose the session that works best with your schedule.
Scheduling a coaching session is easy! Just follow these simple steps:
Coaching is available to anyone brand-new to teaching—without a teaching credential or experience as a lead teacher in any state—who is living in the U.S., or is a U.S. citizen living abroad. If you’re not eligible for coaching, you can learn more about becoming a Maryland teacher with the TEACH Maryland Licensure Guide or from the Maryland State Department of Education.

I never knew what I wanted to do with my life, I changed my college major 6 times. I fell into teaching in college and truly fell in love with it, going straight to graduate school to get my M.Ed, and started teaching secondary social studies. I firmly believe that every path into teaching is valid, and that you can still make a great teacher even if you don't feel that you fit the typical mold!

Christina began her teaching career through a traditional college program and internship. She is currently a high school English Language Development (ELD) teacher with over 20 years of experience in K–12 education, including mentoring, intervention, English language development, curriculum development, and instructional consulting. She has worked to strengthen family partnerships, support teachers, and develop engaging curriculum, while contributing to projects at both the state and national levels. Her work is driven by a strong commitment to student learning and teacher success.
